The world of Geos is an alternate universe (AU) of Earth, where there is an increasing frequency of 'Gifted' individuals, also known as mutants or superhumans.  Some of these individuals use their powers for crime, and in counterpoint others use theirs for good.  But largely, normal humans, or 'Mundanes', still regard the majority of Gifted individuals with distrust, fear and derision.
